Auunty: Would you like to introduce yourself ?
Boogey: My name is David Iye Odey aka Boogey. I'm from Cross River State, Nigeria. I'm a hip hop artiste.
Auunty: Can you tell us a little about your family?
Boogey: Yeah. I'm part of a nuclear family of five. Parental pair and three boys, of which I'm first
Auunty: What inspired you to become a musician?
Boogey: errm damn. A long series of events, but notably, the rebellious urge to be heard. That's what drove, and still drives me.
Auunty: Where did the name 'BOOGEY' come from?
Boogey: Started with "Boogeyman" cos i liked the horror character. Figured it would scare the women and kids lol.. so i caught it.
Auunty:: Since when have you been a part of the Nigerian hip hop scene?
Boogey; In the proper sense, that would be 2011. Came home jan1st 2010, but i spent the year testing the water.
Auunty: , Came back from where?
Boogey: Back from Morocco. I went to University there, on scholarship.
Auunty: What did you study over there?
Boogey; I studied Biology. All in french.
Auunty:People didn't really know about you until like last year (2012) What made you so popular all of a sudden?
Boogey: i've got major work to do concerning that, but a lotta people started listening when i featured on M.I's Illegal Music 2.
Auunty: You also took part in Terry Da Rapman's Zombie contest. How was the experience?
Boogey: Yeah i did. It was a good look. Got me on Terry Tha Rapman's World Domination mixtape too
Auunty: Although you came 2nd, you seem to have gained more buzz than the winner of the contest. How come?
Boogey: More buzz? I'm not totally sure about that, but we both were on our separate grinds even before the contest
Auunty: What do you think has been your greatest accomplishment?
Boogey: Putting together a 16 track mixtape, Art-ificial Intelligence at a time when i could hardly get studio time. For now
Auunty: Which international and local artistes would you like to work with?
Boogey: I'd love to work with Asa and Waje, among others. Miguel is popping right now. I wouldn't mind being on a song with him
Auunty: Apart from you, obviously, who do you think is killing the rap game right now?
Boogey: Hmmn Rappers working hard this year, but more recently, i think Phyno and Olamide have brought extra recognition.
Auunty: What does Boogey like eating?
Boogey: lol I never saw this one coming. I love afang soup and I'd give a limb for beans and dodo!!
Auunty: What are your hobbies?
Boogey: If i still have any, it would be Movies, Writing, Basketball. Making music is much more now
Auunty: On Artificial Intelligence, there were so many Matrix-related themes. Is that your favorite movie?
Boogey: n Artificial Intelligence, there were so many Matrix-related themes. Is that your favorite movie?
Auunty: Does Boogey have someone that he loves and loves him back?
Boogey: Most definitely. He loves his family..and his true supporters..and they love him back ;)
Auunty: LOL nice one. Let me rephrase that. Are you in a romantic relationship with anyone?
Boogey: Yeah!!!! More than that. I'm married. To Hip hop. Wanna rephrase again? lol
Auunty: *sigh* Nevermind. What should we be expecting next from Boogey?
Boogey: I've got the S.A.D. project coming. Before that, I might drop a lil "prelude" compilation for y'all.
Auunty: Before you go what advice do you have for aspiring acts?
Boogey: Including myself. Put in more work and keep your head up. It won't come to you. Go get it!

Naeto C VS. STORM RECORDS
Rapper Naetochukwu Chikwe better known as Naeto C has ended his relationship with Storm Records, the music home where he launched his career into the Nigerian music market.
Unlike the many breakups that have preceded Naeto’s, the rapper’s exit is not battlemented; both parties have been very silent about the issue. As a matter of fact, Storm Records insist that the rapper is still signed with them.
Naeto C’s profile is still active on the Storm Records official website but then again, we can’t take that seriously as General Pype (an artiste who has since parted ways with the label) also has his profile on the website.
Naeto joined Storm Records in 2006, returning from the US where he had already formed a rap group with close friend Ikechukwu and his younger brother Uzikwendu called ‘World Famous Akademy’. With the smash hit single ‘Kini big deal’, he released his debut album ‘You Know my P’ in 2008; parted ways with Ikechukwu who left Strorm in 2010 and then released a successful second album ‘Super C Season’ in February 2011.
Waje -- I WISH
Started from the scratch this diva has not rested and i guess all her hard work has been bringing to us good music ever since. Truly Nigerian ---Waje
